First try
Second try
This is a community blog for the participants of the Fall 2013 "Tat it and See" hosted by Sherry Pence. This event has concluded. It was a wonderful success with well over 100 participants around the globe. This blog will remain open indefinitely to allow participants to continue to post progress on this pattern. I am considering making this a yearly event so keep checking back!
Hi Helen,
ReplyDeleteI can relate to some of what you are going through. While anxiously waiting for Day Three instructions to be posted I tatted a second piece thinking it would be better than the first one but it wasn't. To get my centers to lay flat I gently moved each picot and the ds on each chain until things evened out. It took a little doing and they aren't perfect but that's okay.
This project is teaching me so much about myself. At first, I was impatient but now, I am relaxed and having fun. Upon completion of this project, I am rewarding myself with two new Sew Mate shuttles because I have not tatted with them.
Your tatting is very nice and I like your thread colors. :o)
Thanks for the encouraging words. I figure I'll try some creative blocking with a steam iron when its finished if I don't give in and try it a fourth time, lol.
ReplyDeletelol You are welcome! After I tatted the second one, I stopped myself from tatting a third one by working on other projects. Now that I think of it, that flower piece alone is a beautiful motif that would look nice in other things. Think it's time for me to stop dreaming and move on. Happy Tatting!! :o)
